Designed intake and workflows in AHA to manage research, product, marketing and CX teams' requests and projects. Documented protocols and automated checklist for ensuring consistency in process. Projected resources and reprioritized against larger program goals.
For complex pilot studies we collaborated with new stakeholders to drive out ambiguity in their research questions and set expectations as to our needs to achieve their goals. This typically occurred in one or more meetings and resulted in a shared Miro Board.
I directed the creation and managed a research repository in Confluence & Google Drive. I collaborated with my researchers and PMs on it's taxonomy. I trained new researchers & PMs to use it and monitored usage & publication.
I lead a monthly UXResearch retrospective to identify challenges, celebrate successes and knowledge sharing for the team. I built a backlog of tasks to improve or update our processes which was used when a researcher might have down time.
Team & Process Management
I managed a team of 3 full time staff and 3 contractors across 5-25 simultaneous projects. Inside AHA I could see the status of completion for the automated checklists. We had templates for:
Working with New Teams & Complexity
Addressing ambiguity and setting expectations is critical for new stakeholders. This Miro Board was a collaboration with the stakeholders for a complex multi-method pilot of k-5 students and their families for testing new hardware. The cross-functional team included:
Research Repository Management
The report templates evolved over time. We standardized so it was easily scanned, told a clear story with actionable insights & specific team commitments to meet those actions.
In collaboration with product management I created a rapid review process for new ideas. We would get quick feedback from representative users on concepts to discover what aspects of the proposition had value and why. The turn-around time from start to end was 3 days. Due to budget constraints we limited the researcher's time to 3 hours & 15 minutes.
